Prices and figures
How we update prices
What the numbers on this site mean, where they come from and how often they change.
The catalog was last updated on October 4, 2026. If a figure here and the one at checkout differ, the checkout is right.
What we update, and how often
We update prices, and which colors and packs are on offer, on a schedule, several times a month, from our own product data. A color that stops being offered leaves the site at the next update and comes back by itself when it returns. Prices on this site are the figures from our last update, not a promise.
What stays the same between updates
Lumens, brightness levels, hours on a charge, head sizes, pair counts and fabrics belong to the hat or the shield, not to a price, so they change only when the product changes. We print each one only where it is published for that style: a beanie that does not state its lumens has no lumens line on its page, and hours on a charge appear only where our product data for that style names them.
Ratings
Star ratings and their counts are the ones buyers gave each product family. Where one beanie comes in forty colors or one shield in a dozen pack sizes under one family, the family is counted once.
Sources
Our guides cite OSHA, NIOSH, NHTSA, the Federal Highway Administration, ISEA, the NFPA and the American Academy of Pediatrics. We open and read each source before we quote it, and the date we read it is printed beside it. How we hold these figures to the MELASA approach is written up in our editorial policy.
