Made for cold rides under a bike helmet, and useful for winter runs, ski days and motorcycle trips too. It is sold for wear under a bike or ski helmet, so check with your helmet's maker that a liner suits its fit. The reflective trim catches headlights on a dark road. It is not a hi-vis garment and does not replace the lights on your bike.
About this style
Fleece over your ears, mesh on top, and a slot for each arm of your glasses
On a cold ride the wind finds two places first: your forehead and the tops of your ears. This liner puts a double layer of fleece-lined fabric right there and leaves the crown in breathable mesh, so the heat your head makes on a climb has somewhere to go. You get warm ears without a soaked scalp under the helmet.
The detail you notice on the first ride is the pair of glasses holes. Slide the arms of your riding glasses through them and the frames sit against your head instead of pressing the fabric into your temples. The edges of those holes and the MELASA logo are reflective, so headlights pick up a little more of you after dark. We make it in Black, Dark Gray and Green, and it works just as well under a ski helmet, on a winter run or on its own at the trailhead.
The winter skull caps shelf holds 5 more styles beside the Ear Warmer Helmet Liner with Glasses Holes, and every one belongs to the MELASA range.
Double fleece at forehead and ears
The two-layer fleece fabric sits where the wind hits hardest on a bike, and the cap stays thin enough to go under your helmet.
Mesh crown
The top panel is breathable mesh, so a long climb does not leave your head cooking under the shell.
Reflective glasses holes
Your glasses arms pass through the fabric, and the reflective trim on those holes and on the logo shows up in headlights.
Sweat-wicking fabric
The light stretch fabric moves sweat off your skin, which you feel most on the ride home after the hard part is over.

Before it goes under a helmet
OSHA leaves the question of what may go inside a hard hat to the maker of the hard hat, and recommends liners designed for it. Read the label in your hard hat, or ask its maker, before the first shift with any cap underneath. For the cold, layers and a covered head and ears are what the cold stress guidance asks for.
